EXCLUSIVE: Disgraced Todd Chrisley is heard threatening his black ex-daughter-in-law in aggressive voicemails after she testified against him - as resurfaced tweet reveals vile racist rant he posted about her while she was still married to his son

  • Alexus 'Lexi' Whilby, 31, and ex-husband Kyle Chrisley, 32, helped convict his parents Todd, 53, and Julie, 50, for fraud and tax evasion
  • The former reality star - whose wife Julie was also jailed for her role in the fraud scheme - threatened to sue Lexi in voicemails obtained by DailyMail.com
  • An unearthed tweet from 2015 also reveals that Todd branded his then-daughter-in-law a 'fame seeking w***e' and an 'ashy-skinned h*'

Disgraced reality star Todd Chrisley lashed out at his son Kyle's black ex-wife Alexus Whilby in a racist tweet and threatening voicemail messages, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

In April 2015 - one year after Alexus, 31, married Todd's then estranged son Kyle, 32 -the 53-year-old - who is currently serving a 12-year jail sentence for tax fraud - called his then-daughter-in-law a 'fame seeking w***e' and a 'tired a** ashy-skinned h*' in a since-deleted post on Twitter

Two years later, Todd left Lexi several threatening voicemails - which have been obtained by DailyMail.com - in which he is heard accusing her of lying about having a $100 million trust fund, while stating that he was going to 'get a part of it', after he discovered that she had aided the Georgia Department of Revenue in its investigation into his tax fraud scheme.

In one recording, Todd said that he was suing Lexi to 'force her to do the right thing and acknowledge what she's done.' He then took his insult further by telling her to call her 'brothers' and to 'find out about that fake trust you got that has that $100 million dollars in it, because I am coming to get a part of it.'

Alexus divorced Kyle, who was arrested for aggravated assault last month, in 2018.

Now, she has spoken to DailyMail.com exclusively about the racism she says she faced at the hands of her former father-in-law during her marriage and in the wake of her divorce from Kyle.

'To see a grown man and public figure, who is the grandfather to a beautiful black child say those horrible things was shocking,' Alexus says, referring to Kyle's half-black daughter Chloe, 10, who was adopted by Todd and Julie in 2017 from Kyle and Chloe's biological mother, Angela Johnson.

Alexus, who now works as an account executive while raising a three-year-old daughter, says she believes that the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch's 12-year prison sentence - which he began on January 17, is 'karma' for his past behavior towards her.

'I endured the bullying comments for years in silence, but Karma dealt with it so that I didn't have to,' she said.

On December 11, 2014, Todd told fans on Twitter from his handle @toddchrisley, 'Folks. Alexus Whilby tried to extort our family for $20k or tell the press that we are racist.'

'We chose to keep the $20k and see her in court. Fans commented on the post, which is still up on Twitter, with support, which included 'You are so not racist.'

Alexus, however, insisted to DailyMail.com, that the so-called 'extortion' never happened and there was no lawsuit. Instead, she says she was helping to financially support Kyle, who was estranged from Todd at the time.

After she spoke out to deny Todd's allegations, the former reality star took to Twitter again to blast Alexus in two hateful tweets posted in April 2015, which he has since deleted from his account.

This time, he addressed her in a tweet that included three other handles - @mikeymccutey1, @blairehanks and @lukecombsmusic.

According to Alexus, with the exception @blakehanks, they are fake accounts created by Todd who used them to post anonymously on Twitter. The first handle has only tweeted twice and the last one no longer exists.

The tweet read: 'Alexus Whilby stop being silly [you] fame w***e. [You] can't count high enough to reach me.' Todd wrote.

On the same thread, Todd added, 'Bye you tired ass weave wearing ashy skinned h*. [you are] blocked now. We are bored with pity for [you].'

DailyMail.com has also exclusively obtained voice recordings in which Todd threatened Alexus after she spoke to the Georgia Department of Revenue in 2017.

'I have an email Alexus where you are sending an email to Katie (from Georgia Department of Revenue) telling her that had you known that they would not protect you and your other partners in crime that you would have never done this – and that you need protection,' Todd said in one recording.

'No darling, you don't need protection, you need an attorney. Call your brothers and find out about that fake trust that you got that has that $100 million dollars in it because I am coming to get a part of it.'

Todd threatened Alexus again in a separate recording.

'I want to make sure that everyone knows that my lawsuit against Alexus Whilby is not a vendetta. It's about forcing her to do the right thing and acknowledge what she's done and that will happen through her attorneys. If she has one, if she will pay them.'

Todd continued, 'We are still waiting for a response from her attorney now regarding her divorce. And we can't seem to get a response, so normally when people don't respond to you it is because they haven't paid their attorneys. So, I assume if she can't pay a mortgage on time, she can't pay her attorney on time.'

'But regardless of that, we will file a default against her if that is what is required. It is not a vendetta. It is about holding people accountable. It is about holding people like Alexus Whilby and Teresa Terry accountable,' Todd concluded in the recordings.

For their entire marriage, Alexus said that Todd went out of his way to create problems for her and Kyle.

When she started dating Kyle in 2014, he got into a blowout fight with his father and family. He quit the show during season one, which Todd blamed on mental health and addiction issues.

Speaking to DailyMail.com in 2014 - the year he married Alexus - Kyle said Todd was 'toxic' and a 'snake.' He also accused Todd of keeping his show earnings from him.

Court documents filed in February 2017, reveal that 'one of Todd's estranged children, Kyle, had reached out to the Georgia Department of Revenue (aka DOR) and wanted to assist the DOR with its collection efforts against the Chrisleys.'

The documents state that the DOR 'had a Skype call with Kyle Chrisley and his then-wife, Alexus Chrisley.' During the call, Kyle told the authorities that Todd had 'offshore accounts' that he used to hide money in so that he could avoid paying taxes on it.

One month later, in March 2017, Alexus told the DOR that 'Chrisley's had a warehouse in Georgia filled with seven houses worth of furniture that they were planning to auction off to get an IRS lien removed from one of their properties.'

At the end of 2017, a Georgia judge authorized two search warrants at a warehouse owned by Todd. They seized 21 boxes of paperwork from the DOR, which included forged paperwork.

In 2018, Todd brought a case against Josh Waites, chief law enforcement officer for the DOR. In Todd's suit, which was dismissed, he claimed that Josh 'aggressively pursued and prosecuted bogus tax evasion claims' against them.

That same year, Kyle said in a Facebook post that it was his sister Lindsie Chrisley, 33 - whose mother Teresa Terry was married to from 1990 until 1997 - that was to blame for his parents' conviction by turning them in.

Todd tried pressuring Alexus to testify for him on his behalf in his case against DOR, but Alexus refused.

Reflecting back on the situation, she tells DailyMail.com, 'Kyle changed his story in efforts to help his dad. That didn't work out for him as usual. He wants so badly to be accepted by his father but lying is not the way to do that.'

As Todd was pressuring Alexus to testify on his behalf, she filed for divorce from Kyle. 'During the divorce, I was the one who paid Kyle out. I provided him with a car free and clear all the while having two ongoing legal cases against me from the Chrisley family.'

'Being married to Kyle taught me that it's not the glitz and the glamour that people like to flaunt on the outside that is important. It is about being a good person behind the scenes and being true to yourself and others,' Alexus adds.

'I walked away from a family who, at the time, seemed to have it all and many people thought that I was crazy. I was empowered. I know who I was then and now, and no amount of fame could make me compromise my morals.'

Todd and Julie were indicted on charges including tax evasion and bank fraud in 2019. In June 2022, they were convicted by a jury on 10 counts of criminal tax crimes, including bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion.

In November 2022, Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months' probation. Julie was sentenced to seven years and 16 months' probation. They began their prison sentences in January. They are currently appealing their convictions.
