Salma Hayek described the crystal-choked Gucci dress she wore to the LACMA Art + Film Gala as an “appropriate piece of art” on Instagram. The actor, who is married to Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, thanked Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele for the “beautiful dress” and gloves that she wore on the night, which she accessorized with Rahaminov diamond jewellery.
The look was textbook Salma. The unabashedly sexy silhouette is one she regularly gravitates towards (form-fitting dresses with an audacious neckline have become her signature), and she often picks dresses with added sparkle. Moreover, her tousled hair and smoldering beauty look—finessed by her glam squad Jennifer Yepez and Patrick Ta—added to the bombshell appeal.
When it comes to red-carpet style, Salma Hayek has always taken an individual approach. From the sultry gowns she wore in the 1990s and noughties, to the out-there dresses she champions today (see the black princess dress she wore to the Kering Foundation dinner in September), her confidence has always been her best accessory.
