Today's Message from Todd
Occasionally, we will receive an amazing
compliment from someone showing admiration for
our character, wisdom, or style. Usually we give
away such “flattery.” However, we are better served
to accept, acknowledge and cultivate our strengths.
Most of us spend far too much energy agonizing over
our “shortcomings.”
In school we were taught that we must measure up
in academic grading and sports competition.
This falsely inflated a few people and
grossly affected the self-esteem of the rest.
A better plan is instead of brow-beating ourselves or
other people for not measuring up, we can get out a
different yardstick and take a different viewpoint.
Everyone has his or her own gifts, and we err by ...
counting their gifts and discounting our own!
First cash in your own chips before you
decide everyone else has more than you do!
Have you really lived your full potential? If not,
Don’t fold your hand! Get back in the game and bet
everything on your own ability to live a rich, happy life!
A person cannot fail unless he or she gives up!
