The 42-year-old New York resident flashed a new belly button piercing as she posed with her seven children in an undisclosed beach location.

The wife of Alec Baldwin captioned the happy snaps: 'I love that my family came to meet me after my work trip. Such a special time to be here together.'

However, the star then revealed that one of the children had suffered an unfortunate accident on the holiday, adding: 'Trigger warning: Leo split his forehead open and we were well taken care of in the hospital.

'I think when you're her age and you have kids, and you get older, you get tougher. And for me, as I'm getting older and older… I don't want to be tougher.

'I want to just watch and see what the years I have left us to experience and not have it be about me.'

I don't understand belly-button piercings, or piercings anywhere else on the body, except for one ear-piercing in each ear lobe. But I'm from another time, when young women had more self-respect.
