Speed’ Reunion: Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock to Star in Romance Thriller for Amazon MGM
“Speed” stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are getting back together for a romantic thriller in development at Amazon MGM Studios.
Plot details are still under wraps, though the studio describes the story as “propulsive.” Noah Oppenheim (“Jackie,” “Zero Day”) is on board as screenwriter.

The untitled project’s producers are Bullock via Fortis Films, Reeves, Mark Gordon and Bibby Dunn via The Mark Gordon Company, and Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner via Prologue Entertainment.
Reeves, Bullock and Gordon also worked together on 1994’s “Speed.,” while Reeves and Bullock starred together in 2006’s “The Lake House.”
Gordon and Oppenheim brought the idea for the film to Reeves and Bullock, who went on to develop the film with them.
Reeves most recently starred in “John Wick: Chapter 4,” as well as executive producing, and in the 2021 film “The Matrix Resurrections.” He is represented by WME, Range Media Partners, and Scott Sims.
Bullock starred in and produced “The Lost City for Paramount,” “The Unforgivable” and “Bird Box” for Netflix. She is repped by CAA, Cliff Gilbert-Lurie, and Logan Clare.
Mark Gordon Pictures is currently producing Greta Gerwig’s Narnia film for Netflix. The shingle’s previous productions include “Saving Private Ryan,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Molly’s Game” and “The Patriot,” plus series including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Criminal Minds” and “The Rookie” for television and numerous theater productions.
Prologue Entertainment was founded by Lloyd Braun, Bremner and Oppenheim, and is partnered with Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital to produce premium scripted series and films.
