Taylor Swift Was Pictured Leaving A Public Restroom With Her Bodyguard In Tow, And It’s Made People Realize The Pitfalls Of Fame

As you’re probably aware, the Super Bowl took place on Sunday night, and among the plethora of A-list celebrities in attendance was Taylor Swift, who is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Taylor was pictured watching the game from a VIP suite in New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, and looked just as stressed as all other Chiefs fans as the team suffered a devastating 40–22 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.

And while it may be somewhat hard to believe, global superstar Taylor is, in fact, a human being, which means that nature calls for her in the same way as everybody else — and that she will occasionally have to use public bathrooms. In candid photos that were taken by a fan at the Super Bowl stadium, Taylor can be seen leaving a restroom, and it didn’t take people long to notice a man trailing right behind her as she walked out of the facilities.

As any Swiftie will tell you, the man in question is Drew, Taylor’s long-time bodyguard who joins her at pretty much every public event imaginable. You may have even noticed him at last weekend’s Grammys, where he was sat directly next to Taylor as she chatted with Cynthia Erivo.
Drew also joined Taylor when she was honored by New York University back in 2023, where he wore a graduation cap and gown so that he would blend in with the rest of the crowd.

Heck, Drew is even noticeable in that recent video of Taylor tipping employees at the Grammys afterparty, pivoting in record speed to trail Taylor as she abruptly turned around to hand out the cash. In short, Drew’s one and only job is to keep Taylor safe everywhere she goes, and that, unfortunately, includes when she needs to use the bathroom.
The new photos of Taylor and Drew at the Super Bowl emerged on X earlier this week, and they triggered a whole bunch of discourse as it hit home for people just how cautious Taylor has to be. One person reposted one of the images and wrote: “the fact that Drew has to go to the bathroom with her,” which has racked up more than 43,000 likes and retweets at the time of writing.

And the irony of the situation wasn’t lost on others, with one popular tweet reading: “People asking why Taylor needs Drew when she goes to the restroom while they post a picture of her going out the restroom!!! THIS IS WHY!!! This is why she needs her security everywhere she goes!!! because people don’t respect her privacy!!! Especially her own fans…”
“my thing is - we should not even know this information. why do we have a photo of it. why are people standing outside the bathroom taking pictures of her. her security has to go to these lengths BECAUSE of people like this,” somebody else echoed.
Another wrote: “Can you imagine all the people who would swarm her in the bathroom if she didn't have security. I never really thought about it until that picture dropped.”
While somebody else concluded: “no one should be so unsafe to the point where they need a bodyguard in the bathroom.”
