Denis Leary Says He’s “Afraid” Of Everyone On ‘The View’: “I’m Not Going Outside With Anybody”
Denis Leary made a grand entrance on this morning’s episode of The View, jokingly telling the co-hosts that he’s “afraid” of each and every one of them. As he should be!
The comedian appeared on the daytime talk show to promote his new show No Good Deed — but before he took his seat at the Hot Topics table, he wanted to make two things loud and clear to hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
“I have two things to start even before I sit down,” he said. “Hi. It’s so good to see you guys.”
“I’m not going outside with anybody, number one. I’m afraid of everybody here,” he continued. “And you guys have such amazing shoes.”
Leary must’ve been watching the show from backstage as the ladies had just wrapped up a Hot Topics segment about Tuesday’s (Jan. 14) heated House Oversight Committee meeting, where South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace challenged Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett to “take it outside” after the latter referred to her as “child.”
“Sounds like The View sometimes,” Behar joked after watching a clip of Mace and Crockett’s shocking exchange. The comedian was playfully referring to some of the tension-filled debates the co-hosts have over politics on the daytime talk show.
However, Goldberg and Haines didn’t wanted the The View’s audience to take Behar’s joke the wrong way.
“That’s what people would like to think,” Goldberg added, while Haines chimed in, “We have never taken it outside.”
Not yet, at least!
