Men Are Reacting To Women Refusing To Date, Marry, Have Sex, Or Birth Children With Them Until Women's Rights Are Equal

The 4B movement — a feminist protest started by South Korean women — advocates for women to achieve equal rights through protest by refusing to date, marry, have sex, or birth children with men until their rights are realized under the law. The 4B movement's popularity is surging in America after Trump's reelection.

We recently asked men to share their thoughts and opinions on the 4B movement in America, and they had diverse responses, many of which were starkly different from the responses we received from women in a post you can read here.

Here's what 16 men had to say about the 4B movement:

1."Women need to take a big breath. The world is not going to blow up any time soon, and their demands are only going to punish society in the long run."

2."Women make life and take care of life and continue the cycle of human life, culture, and future, yet we men have power? We have had power for so long, and now the world is dying and in a bad state, and it's been a downward spiral. I know I'm a gay guy, and the 4B movement doesn't directly affect me, so maybe I'm talking out of place, but y'all have been mistreated and doubted for so long, and we men just keep fucking things up. Please do the movement and take control of our population so we can move forward toward a brighter future."

3."Right goal, wrong approach. It's a form of manipulation. If a woman uses sex as a way to climb the corporate ladder, she's vilified; this is the other side of the same coin. I think a better approach is to convince the men who are passive supporters to become active supporters. Anytime you have a group, and it doesn't matter what kind of group (men in this case) whose behavior needs to be changed, external pressure either doesn't work or it takes too long. The fastest and most successful change comes from within the group."

"The men who support equality need to do more than just say they support it; they need to actively support it. That support can come in many forms: how you vote, where you spend your money, calling out bad behavior, having difficult conversations with friends and family, and even joining protests. Just saying 'I hear you' isn't enough."

4."Just a doubling down on the man hate that successfully drove so many young men to vote for Trump in the first place. And people are surprised that young men aren't inspired by what the left offers them."

5."It would be a shame if the women standing up for all women's rights end up not passing those views on to future generations through their own children, both male and female, ensuring continued pressure to make meaningful change."

6."If you change your entire life plans because of Trump, the 4B movement makes no sense. You have let Trump take your power and give his allies what they want."

7."Personally, as a guy, my take on the whole thing is, it's going to be a short-lived fad. A small group of women withholding sex isn't going to last long."

"An actual decent guy isn't going to have sex with you until you have sat down and talked about the possible outcome. The what-if situation. The girls who are complaining are the ones who just go out drinking and sleep with random guys they don't know or barely know, thinking, oh, if I get pregnant, I will just have an abortion and live my life as normal. A good guy is going to be one who is going to say, 'Hey, let's hold off until we are ready.' Ladies, do you want to be treated equally? Then how about having actual conversations rather than just demands?"

8."Women don't owe us men anything. As a guy, I am in full support that women should be able to do whatever they want with their bodies. The only way to see change is to make change, and I think that's what this 4B movement is doing."

"The best way to show the importance of taking away women's rights is to make sure men are affected as much as possible alongside them. Fuck the patriarchy."

9."It's an opportunity for men to consider why women feel so unhappy with how we're turning up and contributing to our relationships."

10."I’m not sure a blanket ban on men is the best way for women to get the results they want. What would help their cause is being a lot more selective about who they choose to be with."

"The whole idea of condemning men for their backward thinking and behavior but still somehow being able to rationalize bedding and wedding the toxic ones is a problem women themselves need to address."

fiercegoose125

11."I'm a guy who has never had sex or a relationship. I've been perfectly fine. Incels/right-wingers conveniently forget that men have also been monks, renunciates, ascetics, and Buddhists. We can also live satisfying lives without sex. Let's become modern monks. Let's renounce the exploitation of women."

12."I disagree with the politics of it (rhetoric is not a genuine representation of the issue), but regardless, it’s a losing strategy. Not forming relationships or having kids means the people who don’t care will win in the end. Like Idiocracy, they will outbreed you."

—Anonymous

13."Men basically started their own woman-free movement first when you started telling us we’re 'inherently dangerous,' you don’t want us, or need us anymore. The manosphere was a reaction to the female sense of entitlement and misandry in society that made men walk away first. Trump's election was a reaction to the grievances of men being ignored."

14."I am a white, 39-year-old male, and I wholeheartedly support the movement. Our cultural norms around gender are still far too restrictive toward women and dismissive of feminine power in all its myriad forms."

"The 4B movement is brilliant because it leverages the power of restraint and boundary setting to expose the often unspoken dehumanization of women and feminine presenting people. I think it necessitates important new cultural discourse and could lead to meaningful change."

—Anonymous

15."I'm Canadian, but this sounds like a great idea to me. Men who voted for Trump because they’re too sexist to vote for a woman (and let’s be honest, that’s the ONLY reason anyone would vote for Trump over Harris) deserve to be cut off. If it’s the only thing that American women can control, then good for them."

—Anonymous

And finally...

16."I'll say it as a straight, white male: Anyone of decency is still on your side. I voted Blue, and while I did so in the hope of making ALL American lives better, the discourse in the past few months and the actions taken against women particularly disgusted me. I totally support the 4B movement even while being aware as a straight, white male; I may be assumed the enemy."
