Ilhan Omar faces primary challenge: Live results
Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) is the latest progressive to face a primary challenger as Democratic voters head to the polls in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District.
Omar, one of the most controversial members of the lower chamber and a member of the progressive “squad,” will square off against Don Samuels, who nearly ousted her in 2022.
Her primary comes after fellow squad members Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) and Cori Bush (D-Mo.) lost their own primary contests earlier this week.
