Prostitution bust in Northern California leads to nearly 80 citations, 15 vehicles towed
(FOX40.COM) — Over 80 people were recently busted in connection to prostitution and solicitation in Northern California.
On June 29, the Stockton Police Department conducted an operation that it said targeted areas known for prostitution and related issues; Sierra Nevada Street, Wilson Way, and the MLK corridor. The mission resulted in 39 alleged prostitutes being cited and processed, along with one 17-year-old girl who was returned to her family.

“The Stockton Police Department’s efforts to combat human trafficking are a testament to their commitment to protecting its community,” SPD said on social media. “By conducting targeted operations in high crime areas, the department is able to disrupt and dismantle human trafficking networks, rescue victims, and bring perpetrators to justice.”
SPD said the operation also led to another 36 traffic citations issued to men for alleged solicitation of prostitution, six arrests, and 15 vehicles towed.
