Welcome to America.

A British woman who has recently relocated to the US has revealed three things she’s baffled by in her new country of residence.

Olivia Christina, a make-up artist who began living in Los Angeles last month, took to TikTok to share the cultural curiosities in a video that’s garnered 22,000 views — and some hot debate.

“I’ve been living in LA for the past three weeks and there are just a few things that just make me laugh – they’re a bit weird,” the brunette declared.

First, the UK citizen — who was raised in the city of Manchester — said she was surprised that many Americans couldn’t identify her accent.

Olivia admitted she was taken aback by that fact, insisting that her accent was quite “neutral.”

“You know it’s not super Northern, not super southern, it’s not really anything but people are so confused,’ she explained. “They think I’m French, they think I’m Scottish — they just don’t get it.”

Secondly, the make-up artist admitted she had been forced to make adjustments to her diet after finding some foods tasted different in America.

“I don’t care what anyone says, but the chicken here is from another planet,” Olivia declared.

“It tastes so weird to the point that I can’t eat it. I can’t eat the chicken here,” she continued. “It is so weird, I don’t like it.”

Meanwhile, the British beauty added that American men appear to be much more open with their flirtation — particularly those who are driving for Uber.

“You can’t get in an Uber without the Uber driver asking for your number,” Olivia claimed. “[Or asking] if they can take you on a date or if you wanna go on vacation with them.”

“Like no,” she declared. “I don’t want to do any of those things and why would you think you can ask me that, it’s bizarre.”

Several patriotic Americans clapped back, insisting Olivia’s accent was not “neutral” and might be difficult to understand.

However, some conceded that the taste of the chicken was less than impressive, with one claiming it was “chlorine chicken stuffed with antibiotics and genetically engineered to go from a baby to an adult in 1 month.”
