The huge silver and white baubles from a festive display have caused chaos on London's Tottenham Court Road after rolling into traffic.

Footage shows the Christmas decorations rolling down the street because of high winds, as passing cars turn to avoid them.

One hits a lamppost before careering off down the road before coming to a halt by at tree.

The surreal sight is believed to have taken place last night with the balls swept away by strong gusts.

Footage also shows giant metallic bows being blown against the curb, with motorists slowing down to avoid these objects.
