The View of an Iceberg From Below

It’s no surprise that most of an iceberg is actually submerged below the surface of the water. What is surprising, however, is just how massive icebergs can be. This photograph illustrates just how tiny this diver looks as they cruise under this colossal piece of ice.

Air travel can either be a total breeze or an absolute disaster, you never really know which way it will go. These are the most hilarious moments that happened in airports.

Do You Mean Duty?

We're guessing that this man of duty couldn't have asked for a better welcome home sign. These two lovebirds look so happy to see each other we'd be surprised if he even read the sign. As the two embrace in each other's arms, the world disappears behind them. We're happy this guy got home safe, and that his girl was waiting for him. A sweet welcome home, and we're happy we got to be a part of it, even if it's only through the internet.

Adjusting

Being at the airport means adjusting. Adjusting to the rules, adjusting to delays, adjusting to time differences, or adjusting into a confortable position on a long layover. Sometimes it's too hot, sometimes too cool so you need to travel prepared. No matter the situation, you may find yourself having to adjust to all kinds of bizarre circumstances.

What A Welcome

Of course some welcome home signs can be incredibly awkward, while others are sweet and thoughtful. This husband wanted to welcome home his wife in the best way possible, so not only was he sweet, he paid her a huge compliment that probably resulted in quite a few blushes. Picking her up dressed as a limo driver and writing "Smokin Hot Italian Chick," earned him quite a few looks, but it was certainly worth it. He probably got big brownie points.

By the look of this young one's face, Dad couldn't have gotten home at a better time. This humorous sign is one of our favorites, it's sweet and lighthearted while managing to pick fun at Dad (and Mom). We're wondering how long Dad was away for Mom to have quit two weeks prior! Such a sweet gesture, we're sad we didn't get to see Dad's reaction to their "Welcome Back" sign. We hope Mom managed to gain her strength back, but if not, Dad's back!

Traveling Light

You find all sorts of people in the airport from all walks of life, and some of them can appear as something out of the ordinary. Interestingly, these two people were at Seattle airport, just weeks within each other, along with their huge, antique type writers. Not only are they completely impractical to travel with, they probably raised some eyebrows at security. Companies like Apple have come out with lightweight, small, state-of-the-art technology, so can someone please buy these people an iPad?!

Rolling Out the Red Carpet

When you first get home, it makes sense that a little celebration is in order. This man knew that it wasn't even worth the wait until they got home to get started. That's why when he got to the airport, he decided to set up shop. Complete with a stand and margarita mix, he was ready to celebrate his loved one's arrival home and national margarita day. We're sure that his loved one appreciated it. Plus, it's five o'clock somewhere, right?

Spare Rider

If you make your living as a driver, the number of people you take from place to place is positively correlated to the amount of money that you make. This man was ready to earn an extra buck. On his sign, he has the name Alice - the person he's supposed to pick up from the airport. Underneath that name, he's written "random citizen," inviting a second person to ride along with them. After all, he has to make a living!

Sit On The Buttocks

The travel pillow this lady brought along looked like a bare bottom while she was carrying it around at the airport. This made people do a double-take every time she passed by. Maybe next time, she should not carry it in the same position to spare the people around her all the sneak peeks. Or perhaps she knew exactly what she was doing and thought it was funny.

Something To Hide

When someone is walking around indoors wearing shades, they are often hiding something. Most of the time, they’re trying to hide their identity - and that is precisely the case in this photo. Candice Swanepoel, an actress from South Africa, was trying to remain unrecognized in her sunglasses. Hopefully she made it through the airport without being bothered by any fans.

Lost Your Clothes?

The airport personnel lost this guy’s luggage, so he decided to get on the return flight in nothing but his undies. He did it to prove a point to the airport staff - be more careful with peoples’ belongings! It may look like a funny situation to the people around him, but it was very serious for this guy. And he meant business as usual when he arrived at the airport.

Hitch a Ride

This little girl’s legs were too short to keep up with her dad as he rushed through the airport, so she decided to hitch a ride on his suitcase instead. Did he notice that his bag suddenly got heavier? We’re sure that other tired passengers looked on with envy, wishing they could also ride on someone’s suitcase instead of walking.

Let Me Just Lay Down a Minute

This is what happens when you’re on a layover and your flight gets delayed for hours. Isn’t this what we all want to do when we’re stuck at the airport? Sometimes all we need is to lay down for a few minutes to recharge. Hopefully no one stepped on this woman while she took her power nap.
