Bono full of shit.........

  U2's Bono will become the richest musician on the planet thanks to his private equity firm's 2009 investment in Facebook.

Three years ago, Elevation Partners' bought a 2.3 percent stake in Facebook with an initial $90 million investment. According to NME, Bono's share is worth well over $1.5 billion, given Facebook's $104 billion valuation.

So, when the company goes public, Bono will overtake Paul McCartney as the richest musician in the world. But that doesn't mean the Irish rocker's retiring anytime soon.


Funny how bono can stand up n a podium in his  over the  top  sunglasses  with his  rock star ranting ....about the  poverty in  Africa...yet  if you read above he will be the richest musician on the planet......

is he gonna  dig into his designer pocket and give his vast wealth to Africa .........sure he  won't  he wants the govt to fix the poverty ....is he  f******g nuts ...okay i get he   is and once  was a great  musician   but is he  off his  frickking head .....now he has got 2% of facebook he  isn't  going to struggle  ...i  have never  personally been a  U2  because of the political bollocks  that  have been intertwined  in them .....
I personally do not give  a shit about how much bono has, he is  another  musician ..unlike the great Elvis Presley who gave  away relentlessly but then  elvis  was  a great  musician ....(even john lennon  said ) apparently Elvis gave away  98% of his wealth to help others  ..i do not see other's in the music  world  doing the same .....
